Challengers hold off pesky Chiloquin, 57-53 CHILOQUIN -- Cascade Christiandefeated Chiloquin by 29 points in the Crusader-Challenger Christmas Classic earlier this season.   The Challengers found themselves in an entirely different situation Friday at the Chiloquin gym.   This time, Cascade Christian had to rally from a four-point deficit with less than one minute to play to escape with a 57-53 Southern Cascade League boys basketball victory.   "They were definitely a different team tonight," Cascade Christian coach Brian Morse said. "Things were not looking good for a while."   The Challengers (13-3, 1-1 SCL) cut their four-point deficit to 53-51 on Don Jenkins' layup with 46 seconds remaining in the game. Then Cascade's fullcourt pressure forced a steal by Jordan Ferrell and Will Vanderstoel tied the game at 53 on a 5-foot jumper with 33 seconds to go.   A deflection by Jenkins and an Andy Baker steal on Chiloquin's   next possession put the Challengers in position to take the lead.   Baker, an 87 percent free throw shooter, was fouled on the play and made both ends of a 1-and-1 to put the Challengers up by two.   "That was a lot of pressure on Baker," said Morse, "but he definitely was the one we wanted to have the ball."   Chiloquin had one more opportunity to tie, but Vernon Miller's 10-foot jumper rimmed out and Ferrell corralled the rebound and was fouled immediately.   The junior forward converted both free throws for the final margin of victory.   "We cranked up our defensive intensity and caused those steals," said Morse. "Ferrell down the stretch made some huge plays with the steal and rebound at the end."
