Medford police Monday arrested Rexius on charges of possession of methamphetamine and a probation violation. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail. Drugs — James Edward Giles, 52, no known street address, Medford. Medford police Tuesday arrested Giles on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $5,000 bail. Auto theft — Jeremy David Erickson, 25, of the 6800 block of Downing Road, Central Point. Central Point police Tuesday arrested Erickson on charges of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving, driving under the influence of intoxicants and attempting to elude police in a vehicle. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on $20,000 bail. Kidnapping, coercion — Andrew Lee Pierce, 25, of the 300 block of May Street, Medford. Medford police Tuesday arrested Pierce on charges of second-degree kidnapping, coercion and harassment. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Tuesday on more than $1 million bail. Marijuana bust Oregon State Police troopers Monday arrested two Seattle men after finding approximately 9.5 pounds hidden in their car. At around 6 p.m. OSP Sgt. Mark Byrd stopped a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier on Interstate 5 at the Valley of The Rogue Rest stop seven miles south of Grants Pass. Byrd was joined by OSP Senior trooper Greg Costanzo and his drug dog Cookie. The dog "alerted" on the trunk, where the troopers found several packages of marijuana. The troopers arrested Karl Ringbloom, 29, and Robert Riley, 54, on charges of possession, manufacture and distribution of marijuana. They were lodged in jail, where they remained late Tuesday on $125,000 bail. The estimated value of the marijuana was between $5,000 and $7,500, OSP officials said. The troopers also seized $3,900 cash.
