We have been had by the oldest trick known to man — divide and conquer. Sound familiar? Take a good look around. The existence of a supreme being has been replaced with the evolution theory. Sex education is being taught not at home, but in the classrooms. Condoms are furnished free. God's name has been removed, as have nativity scenes at Christmas time, crosses are removed in all public areas, and you can't wish anyone a Merry Christmas. It is now "Happy Holidays." Correct me if I'm wrong, but this nation was founded on the idea that it would be a Judeo-Christian society. We have been invaded by devils that are hell-bent on destroying our nation and our way of life. Following this path will lead us right into being taken over and deposited in the Third World Order! We will be told what to do and when to do it. Your vote this November will be the deciding factor. This is your last chance until all hell breaks loose. In closing, it's mea culpa, mea culpa. God have mercy on our great nation. John L. Ogle, Grants Pass Waggy is best choice Phoenix has important choices moving forward. Continued growth with a plan or without a plan? With a plan means small town-appropriate growth. Without a plan means sprawl developed absent key elements, for good livability. The elected officials needed to make proactive choices are people who have a track record of successful planning and implementation. That's why I believe Melissa Waggy is the best choice for Phoenix City Council. I've served as a board member with Melissa for two years, in her capacity as the Talent Chamber president. She understands that without a good small-town plan in place, unwanted changes happen. Melissa has drive. She is known in the community as a “get it done with a plan and do it right the first time” kind of person. If one knows Melissa, it isn’t hard to imagine that her fresh, energetic approach is just what Phoenix needs in their city government. Darby Stricker, Talent Bates is a cheerleader Senator Bates, a pom pom-waving cheerleader for big government solutions for every problem and non-problem, has accomplished the following:  He holds private property in contempt. Bill SB-401, sponsored by Senator Bates, will effectively lock up 7,000 square miles of riverfront property preventing the owners from exercising rights on it. Senator Bates' cartwheeling came into play in his strong support for the Cover Oregon website scheme, which spent $300 million and is now under investigation by the feds. The website costs Oregonians $3,696,000 monthly, yet it still doesn't work. Performing jumping jacks for ObamaCare, Senator Bates approved of the intended consequences of it, namely the increased premiums and deductibles, inherent rationing of medications and specialists, longer waits, government access to our medical records and the redistribution of wealth by various state and federal agencies.
