Matt Bryant pitched six innings of one-run ball as the Colts evened their record at 1-1. South’s Glen Pennington broke up a scoreless tie in the fifth inning with an RBI, then Smith belted a three-run triple to cap the four-run inning. Salisbury also had three RBIs and Andy Narus added a pair of hits for South. The Colts open league play on Thursday with a 5:30 p.m. doubleheader at the North Jackson Royals.
