A Medford police officer Wednesday arrested Smith on charges of fourth-degree assault and harassment. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where she remained late Wednesday on $8,000 bail. Vehicle theft — Craig Allen Huntley, 29, of the 400 block of Market Street, Klamath Falls. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Wednesday arrested Huntley on charges of unlawful use of a vehicle and a parole violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Drugs — Delbert Love Cole, 49, of the 100 block of North Columbus Avenue, Medford. A Medford police officer Wednesday arrested Cole on charges of possessing, manufacturing and delivering methamphetamines, and a parole violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Vehicle theft, weapons — John Joseph Galaviz, 18, of the 100 block of Eagle View Drive, Eagle Point. A Medford police officer Wednesday arrested Galaviz on charges of unlawful use of a vehicle and carrying a concealed knife. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Wednesday on $5,000 bail. Crime reports Theft — 1900 block of Suncrest Road, Talent. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Wednesday took a report of a theft in which a trailer and equipment valued at $1,200 was stolen from an orchard. Miscellaneous Stabbing — A man was rushed to Rogue Valley Medical Center late Wednesday after being stabbed in the chest during an altercation with another man in the 100 block of North Columbus Avenue, police said. Advertisement No arrests had been made by press time, but Medford police detectives were interviewing a suspect in the case late Wednesday, police Lt. Tim George said. Officers were called to the scene just before 10 p.m. George said the victim was stabbed once in the chest after arguing with another man. The victim’s wound was not believed to be life- threatening, George said. Names of the suspect and victim were not available late Wednesday.
