Mazama prevails at Lakeview LAKEVIEW � Jandee Kahl's 12 points and 10 steals spurred Mazama to a 43-41 Skyline Conference win over Lakeview on Tuesday. In a battle of two of the four conference teams locked up in a tie for second place, the Vikings used a full-court press in the second half to erase a nine point halftime deficit. Fran Hartman missed the front end of a one-and-one for Lakeview that would have possibly tied the game. Mazama then missed a free throw opportunity but the Honkers couldn�t get off a tying-shot attempt. Mazama�s 17-8 fourth-quarter run boosted the Vikings to 6-3 in league play and knocks the Honkers to 5-4. Fran Hartman Megan Flynn led Lakeview with 11 points. The Knights outscored Illinois Valley 20-15 in the second half, despite missing all 12 of their free throws, after the two squads were deadlocked 8-8 at halftime. Alaina Renius pulled down 11 rebounds and Megan Costen grabbed nine. Andy Trader dished out 10 assists for North Valley (9-9, 6-3 Skyline).
