Restaurant Inspections: Sunday, March 22 Mar 22, 2015 12:00 AM A A Jackson County health officials conducted semiannual inspections of 140 restaurants in February. Sixty-two got perfect scores of 100. None dropped below the failure mark of 70 points. The Mail Tribune publishes a portion of the inspections each week. Pine St., Central Point — 97 Little Caesars Pizza, 1205 G Plaza Blvd., Central Point — 97 Inspectors subtract points for violations of “priority” and “priority foundation” items. These include: Foods maintained at improper temperatures, improperly cooled or reheated; not properly protected from contamination, from unapproved origins, unsafe, adulterated or not honestly presented; not date-marked or discarded upon expiration; raw animal foods improperly cooked; presence of rodents or insects; inadequate personal hygiene; failure to clean and sanitize food equipment; lack of an approved water system; toxic chemicals or cleansers not properly stored, used or labeled.
