Pitchers lead Cascade to a sweep of Prospect JACKSONVILLE -- Cheryl Gordon and Laural Kelly allowed only two hits to Prospect's softball team Friday in helping Cascade Christian sweep a District 6 doubleheader. Gordon tossed her first no-hitter to win the opener, 5-0. Kelly allowed only two hits in limited duty. The game was reduced to five innings when Rebekah Gettman belted a three-run home run in the fifth inning to make it 11-0, bringing into play the 10-run rule. Maria Stutzman paced the Challengers (11-6, 5-1 District 6) at the plate in the opener, going 2-for-2 with a solo homer, two runs and two walks. Gordon struck out 10 but had eight walks. Gettman was a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBIs in the second game, while Shelly Nicholson also added a key two-run single. Kelly had seven strikeouts and no walks to earn her sixth win in eight decisions. Prospect is 3-5 in District 6 action.
