"Glass shattered, the window broke in and we turned around to see a car there," said Jordahl, owner of As You Like It Hair & Nail Co. at Siskiyou Boulevard and Highland Drive. "Everyone just carried on. No one even moved." Jordahl said five people were inside the salon at about 9 a.m. Tuesday, when a woman drove a Toyota Camry off the road and into the salon at 450 Highland Drive. No one was injured, and the driver’s name was not made available by police, who consider the incident a civil matter because the accident occurred on private property and there was no evidence of a crime, Medford police Lt. Mike Moran said. Police do not know what led the driver to steer her car into the salon. Jordahl kept her business open all day, and called in a work crew later Tuesday to replace the broken glass with plywood as a temporary fix. "It’ll be a little cooler and a little darker in here for a while," she said.
