Marjory Gayle McClure Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Sep. 11, 2015 at 2:00 AM Posted Sep. 11, 2015 at 2:00 AM » Social News Marjory Gayle McClure, age 92, passed away September 8, 2015 at her home in Jacksonville, Ore. with her son, Jim and granddaughter, Cindy at her side. Please join us in a celebration of her life Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville. Margie was born March 6, 1923 in Beaverton, Mont. to Floyd and Edith Ladd Holcomb. On January 30, 1942 she married Harold McClure in Toppenish, Wash. They had three sons Harry, Jim, and Ed. In 1965 they moved to Anchorage, Alaska and in 1986 she moved to Jacksonville, Ore. After moving to Jacksonville she was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Booster, the Garden Club, and Foster Grandparents. She is survived by her sons, Jim of Jacksonville, Ore. and Ed. of Eagle River, Alaska; grandchildren, Ted McClure, Cindy Mason, Carrie Compton, Chad McClure, Rod McClure, Whitney Ritter, Tina McClure, and Mallory Valentine; 15 great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Margie was preceded in death by her brother, Dorman Holcomb; husband, Harold McClure; and her eldest son, Harry McClure. Her unconditional love, support and devotion will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, Margie requested memorial contributions be made to Multiple Sclerosis Association.
