Grass fire sparks on Greenway By Staff report Updated: Jul 18, 2021 07:59 PM A A Multiple agencies responded to a five-acre grass fire along the Bear Creek Greenway near Interstate 5 mile marker 31 Sunday around 4:45 p.m., according to the Oregon Department of Forestry Southwest Oregon District. Initial on-scene resources included Oregon Department of Forestry strike teams and Medford Fire Department and Jackson County Fire District 3 crews. Medford police managed evacuations of homes and businesses near the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
