Police Sgt. Tom Ioneri said one of the suspects menaced the homeowner, and the homeowner described the weapon as an assault-type rifle. No dollar value has been placed on the stolen items. The homeowner’s name, which is being withheld while the investigation is underway, knew the three suspects by first name, but didn’t know their last name, Ioneri said. “It sounds like they’d been there before just to hang out,” he said.  After the robbery, which occurred around 9:45 p.m. Saturday, the suspects fled in a gray Ford F-250 pickup with tinted windows. Medford police contacted other law enforcement agencies, including the California Highway Patrol, to track down the pickup. Ioneri said he didn’t know whether the homeowner had a medical marijuana card, and he didn’t know the quantity of marijuana stolen.  No injuries were reported, and Ioneri said he didn't know how many other people were in the house at the time of the robbery, other than the homeowner and the suspects. No descriptions of the suspects have been released, but Medford police will likely release further information this week. The size of the safe and where it was located in the house were not immediately available. "I doubt it was very big," Ioneri said. Reach reporter Damian Mann at 541-776-4476 or [email protected].
