A Medford police officer Thursday arrested Olsen on charges of third-degree assault, fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Thursday on $32,000 bail. Identity theft — Trudy Rae Steele, 35, of the 600 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Steele appeared Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with identity theft and second-degree forgery. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance. Drugs — Richard James Lamb, 62, and Doris Jean Lamb, 40, both of the 4800 block of Old Sams Valley Road, Gold Hill. Richard and Doris Lamb both appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on separate indictments charging them with manufacturing and possessing marijuana. Both were booked into jail and released on their own recognizance. Theft, burglary — Sean Kelley Allison, 33, of the 300 block of Haven Street, Medford. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Thursday arrested Allison on two counts of second- degree burglary, two counts of second-degree criminal mischief and first-degree theft. He was lodged in jail and later released on his own recognizance. Drugs, records tampering — Anthony Derral Phillips, 44, of the 300 block of China Gulch Road, Jacksonville. Phillips appeared Thursday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with five counts of tampering with drug records, five counts of second-degree forgery and possession of designer drugs. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Crime reports Burglary — 7200 block of Kershaw Road, White City. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Thursday took a report of a burglary at a business in which items valued at $300 were stolen. Advertisement Theft — 4600 block of Scenic Avenue, Central Point. A sheriff’s deputy Thursday took a report of a theft in which a riding lawn mower and miscellaneous tools valued at $1,460 were stolen. Theft — 1000 block of Mount Pitt Street, Medford. A Medford police officer Thursday took a report of a theft in which a motor scooter valued at $1,000 was stolen. Vehicle theft — 300 block of East Fifth Street, Medford. A Medford police officer Thursday took a report of a theft in which a red 2005 Jeep Liberty valued at $21,500 was stolen. Theft — 100 block of Reiten Drive, Ashland. A sheriff’s deputy Wednesday took a report of a theft in which a camera valued at $1,289 was stolen. Fire calls House fire — 100 block of Fourth Avenue, Gold Hill. Jackson County Fire District No. 3 crews on Thursday battled a blaze that caused significant damage to a two-story home. Firefighters arrived at the scene seven minutes after the 2:28 p.m. call of a fire at the house, said District 3 Capt. Mark Minor. When they arrived, crews located fire in the home’s attic. Minor said it took at least 30 minutes for firefighters to get the blaze controlled. While the fire damaged the home’s attic and second floor, Minor said the bottom floor and many belongings were saved. No one was home when the fire broke out. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
