Fighter jets to participate in July 4 festivities Jul 02, 2015 12:00 AM A A F-15 Eagle fighter jets from the Oregon Air National Guard's 173rd Fighter Wing at Kingsley Field in Klamath Falls are scheduled to fly over Fourth of July celebrations across Southern Oregon. The jets will visit Central Point's Freedom Festival at 9:45 a.m., the Lake of the Woods Fourth of July celebration at 10 a.m., Ashland's parade at 10:10 a.m. and Eagle Point's parade at 11 a.m. Flyovers are also planned in Burns, Manzanita, Rockaway Beach, Neskowin and Creswell. All flyovers will be about 1,000 feet above ground level and at approximately 400 mph. Flights could be cancelled or times changed due to inclement weather or operational contingencies, officials said.
