November 02. 2014 2:00AM Lowell Travis Hamilton Lowell Travis Hamilton passed away October 19, 2014 surrounded by his family. Lowell was born March 27, 1930 in Lubbock, Texas to Elza and Hattie Hamilton. On October 8, 1953 he married the love of his life, LaFonda Murlene. The two were blessed with three children, Sandra, Leslie, and Eric, and a long, happy marriage. The family settled in Central Point in 1971. Lowell was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Seldom did a day pass without a visit to Poppy's. Lowell retired in the 80s from United Grocers and spent his retirement enjoying racing, golfing, westerns, and his family. Lowell was preceded in death by his wife, LaFonda and son, Leslie. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra and Bob Davey of Salem; daughter-in-law Barbara Hamilton of Bend; and son, Eric and Samantha Hamilton of Central Point; as well as 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
