Three junior golfers claim titles at RVC Three local golfers claimed top honors Tuesday in the two-day Southern Oregon Junior Tournament at Rogue Valley Country Club. Medford's Noah Horstman, Adam Browne and Christian Bernard won three of the four boys divisions, and two RVCC golfers finished second in their girls divisions. Horstman carded rounds of 73 and 71 for a two-day total of 144 to win the Juniors 16-17 title, edging Ryan Gilmour by two strokes. Browne stormed past the Boys 14-15 field with rounds of 75 and 72 for a 147, seven strokes better than second-place finisher Dustin Andries. Playing only nine holes per day, Bernard edged Roseburg's Sean Jovin for the title in the Pee Wee Boys 8-11 division. Bernard used two steady rounds of 42 to best Jovin, who shot rounds of 46 and 40. In the Intermediate Boys 12-13 division, Jesse Schutte posted a two-day total of 148 to pace the field. In girls, Medford's Kacie Kinney finished 10 shots behind first-place finisher Kendra Little of Eugene in the Intermediate Girls 12-14 division. Kinney had rounds of 88 and 91, while Little countered with an 83 and 86 for a 169 total. Katie Cox of RVCC took second in the Pee Wee Girls 8-11 division with a two-day total of 190. Kristen Svicarovich won the Girls 15-17 title with rounds of 78 and 82 for a 160. Final Results PEE WEE GIRLS 8-11 - 1, Secha-Lei Teller, 69-67-136; 2, Katie Cox, 91-99-190.
