She was born in Colome, S.D. February 3, 1924 where she later married the love of her life Barney July 22, 1943. They spent 71 glorious years together. Betty and Barney had two children; Dick (Ronda) Deffley and Darla (Daryl) Hubler; four grandchildren, and two+ great-grandchildren. Betty was an avid sports fan whose love started when her children were in school. She was everyone's biggest fan. Her love for the outdoors included camping, fishing, hunting, and being the "camp hostess." Betty will be greatly missed by all of those whom she welcomed into her home with an invitation of food, drinks, games, and good conversations. Betty and Barney never met a stranger and everyone who met them became a part of the family. Betty was preceded in death by her son Dick. A heartfelt thanks goes to her sister, Mary and her friend, Iline who were always there for her. A celebration of life will be held at the Deffley home Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 1-5 pm.
