Eagles fall in season opener Aug 31, 2017 12:00 AM A A CRESCENT CITY, Calif. — In a rematch of last year’s high school football season opener, Glencoe avenged a resounding loss to Eagle Point on Thursday with a 28-14 victory in a game moved to Del Norte High School due to unhealthy air conditions in Southern Oregon. Freshman Devin Bradd, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound running back, provided an immediate impact for the Eagles (0-1) with a touchdown but the Crimson Tide proved too much on this night. Last year, Eagle Point cruised to a 53-12 win over Glencoe in a game played in Hillsboro at Hare Field. The Eagles are coming off a 7-3 season that saw them go 5-2 in Midwestern League play but lose a host of seniors from that squad.
