Reyes, Berman run over Myrtle Point Oct 09, 2009 12:00 AM A A MYRTLE POINT — Christian Reyes and Rogue Berman combined for 337 rushing yards and four touchdowns to lead visiting Rogue River to a 34-28 victory against Myrtle Point in a Sunset Conference game. Reyes carried the ball 27 times for 200 yards, including a 4- and 57-yard touchdowns in the first quarter to lead the Chieftains to a 20-0 halftime lead. Berman, who finished with 137 rushing yards on 15 carries, added scores of 94 and 37 yards, respectively. Brendan Schoner caught a 79-yard touchdown pass from Reyes to cap the scoring for the Chieftains (5-1, 2-1 Sunset), who didn't clinch the victory until Levi Girdot's interception with approximately 40 seconds remaining. Bennion finished in 19 minutes, 35 seconds, which was only one second ahead of Martin. It is the third one-two finish for them this year. The Crusaders boys were led by junior Julio Silva, who placed 13th in 17:51.
