Grants awarded to county agencies Grants totaling more than $100,000 will benefit Jackson County agencies ranging from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival to Jefferson Public Radio, thanks to the Oregon Community Foundation endowment. In the last year, OCF has disbursed more than $450,000 to groups in Jackson and Josephine counties, according to Kathleen Davis, regional development director. The latest grants include the following local groups or agencies: The Oregon Shakespeare Festival , $29,000, primarily in support of its campaign to build a new theater. The Community Health Center , $25,000 to help build a medical center in White City. Southern Oregon Public Television , $12,500 to produce a children's storytime series Access Inc ., $11,000 to upgrade the agency's computer system. The Craterian Performances Company , $7,500 to upgrade its theater marquee. The Arts Council of Southern Oregon , $6,800 to implement a marketing plan. Jefferson Public Radio , $3,000 to improve and maintain JPR's transmission plant. OCF is a statewide nonprofit group that administers permanent charitable funds.
