Bobbert claims victory at All-Star bowling Grand Finals It was a struggle to start off with for Harrall Bobbert in the first two matches of the stepladder finals of the All-Star Bowling Grand Finals at Lava Lanes on Sunday. Bobbert cruised past Brian Tinsley in the finals, 223-151, to claim the victory. In his first match, Bobbert slipped past Jerome Lee, 214-209, and had an equally tough time dispensing of Jason Taylor in the second match. But after the 264-257 victory over Taylor, Bobbert cruised to two straight convincing victories. Andy Magerle, who fell to Bobbert 265-199, finished third, while Taylor took fourth and Lee fifth. In the high points tournament for competitors who didn't finish amongst the top 24, Jayme Dahlke grabbed the title. Track & Field GRESHAM -Ashland's Cameron Voget threw the javelin 198 feet, 0 inches Saturday to place second in the Centennial Invitational track and field meet. The mark is his career best with a new javelin introduced this year. Also for the Grizzlies, Kendall Clark placed seventh in the girls 1,500 meters with a time of 5:00.50, Jeff Olsen clocked 4:14.20 in the boys 1,500 and Nate Hoxmeier ran 1:59.90 in the boys 800.
