Hood Cardinals as the Southern Oregon RiverDogs claimed a 4-0 road victory Friday at Mt. Hood Community College in amateur baseball action. Skundrick (1-2) struck out seven in eight innings, walking three and giving up all three Cardinal hits. Goble came on to work the ninth. Offensively, the RiverDogs (6-3) received RBI singles from Brent Foster in the first and Brian Stock in the ninth. Catcher Chuck Shine was 2-for-4 and threw out one Mt. Hood baserunner. Advertisement Phil Ouellette’s double was the lone extra-base blast for Southern Oregon, which accumulated seven hits and visits the Clackamas Kings for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. today.
