Suspect identified in New Year's Day break-in at Jimmy John's Daniel Mosqueda Friday Jan 13, 2017 at 4:44 PM Jan 13, 2017 at 4:44 PM Local report Medford police think they know who broke into a Jimmy John's restaurant by smashing out a storefront window New Year's Day, and they're looking for help from the public to find the suspect. Police suspect that Daniel Mosqueda, 47, broke into the sandwich shop franchise at 3 a.m. New Year's Day. The suspect reached over a nearby patio fence, took a chair, and used it to smash the window, according to Lt. Kerry Curtis of the Medford Police Department. Once inside, Mosqueda allegedly stole several cookies and an undisclosed amount of cash before bolting from the scene. Police say the alleged crime was caught on surveillance camera. The incident caused about $1,000 in damage, Curtis said. Police put some surveillance images out to the public, which led to several tips and their eventual identification of Mosqueda as the suspect. Mosqueda is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Medford police at 541-770-4784.
