Grizz girls clinch title in bowling The defending state champion Ashland High girls bowling team took first place in a 10-team tournament Sunday at Roxy Ann Lanes. Anna Friedhof, Nicole Brandon, Bianca Montganino, Angela, Kim Russell and Tracy Bander led the Grizzlies to a 56-pin lead after three regular and 12 baker games. In the stair step finals, fourth-place Hidden Valley downed third-place Grants Pass while second-place North Bend fell to Ashland by eight pins. Friedhof, a junior in her third year of varsity, shot her first sanctioned 600 series with games of 222, 192 and 214.
