All told, Timothy Dean Diaz has been imprisoned four times with his most recent release in January. Jackson County Community Corrections and Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon are asking for the public’s help in finding him. In 1992, Diaz was arrested and convicted of two counts of first-degree sex abuse. He was sentenced to four years at the Oregon State Penitentiary and was required to register as a sex offender. As a registered sex offender, Diaz is required by law to register his new address within 10 days of moving or within 10 days of his birthday. His last registration was Sept. 14 with an address in Medford. Because he has violated the terms of his parole, the Oregon State Board of Parole and Probation has issued a statewide no-bail felony warrant for his arrest. Diaz also has had arrests and convictions for manufacture, possession and delivery of a methamphetamine, assault on a public safety officer, second-degree escape, first-degree theft, third-degree theft, fourth-degree assault, resisting arrest, failure to register as a sex offender, first-degree forgery, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and multiple arrests for parole violations. He has been incarcerated three additional times: once in 1975, once in 1986, and the last time in 2002. Advertisement Diaz is described as a Hispanic male adult, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Diaz has a tattoo on his upper left arm of a heart and banner, a tattoo on his upper right arm of a panther head, a burn scar and an unknown tattoo on his right thigh. The picture shown here, taken on Sept. 14, is the most recent image available. If you have seen Diaz or have information of his whereabouts, please call Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon at 800-3- DETECT (800-333-8328) and refer to case No. MT-92. Crime Stoppers will pay a reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in these cases or any unsolved criminal activity. Callers can remain anonymous. The reward is sponsored by Sonitrol of Southern Oregon.
