Driver wanted Disneyland, ended up in jail A Medford woman gave her two kids her own version of Mr. Toad�s Wild Ride as she raced through downtown Tuesday morning. Traveling as fast as 94 mph, there were plenty of thrills, including a pursuit by an Oregon State Police trooper. When police finally got her stopped, she told police said she was driving fast to win a trip to Disneyland. The trooper said he clocked a 1982 Chevrolet pickup driven by Lisa Marie Blaylock, 30, at 94 mph as it traveled south on Highway 99 outside Central Point about 9 a.m. Tuesday. The trooper immediately pursued Blaylock, but he was unable to catch up to her until he reached Barnett Road and Riverside Avenue. That�s when Blaylock allegedly began speeding through Medford to the Jackson County Courthouse. Although she was driving as fast as she could, the woman stopped for stop signs and red lights as she made her way to the courthouse, officers said. The ride came to a stop at Oakdale Avenue and Eighth Street, where the trooper took Blaylock into custody. Blaylock was uncooperative, according to police, saying she was in a "race against time" contest that required her to speed from a Portland courthouse to the Medford courthouse. She said she planned to ask for a police escort so she could win a trip to Disneyland for her and her children. Instead, she won lodging at the Jackson County Jail and her children were picked up by Services to Children and Family workers. Blaylock was charged with reckless driving, attempting to elude an officer, resisting arrest and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. Charges for possession marijuana and amphetamine are pending, police said.
