John Joseph Hawkins May 12, 2016 12:00 AM A A John J. Hawkins passed away peacefully May 2, 2016 at his home in Medford, Ore. with his beloved wife, Lynn at his side. He was born October 17, 1940 John was loved by his family and friends for his fun-loving ways and his kind heart. Over the years John enjoyed boating, fishing, street-rod cars, and RV-ing with his wife. John was a 10 year veteran of the U.S. Navy. He served in peacetime and during the Vietnam era. He leaves behind his wife, Lynn and his sister, Helen. A service to honor his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 16, 2016 at Eagle Point National Cemetery, Eagle Point, Ore.
