Family loses everything in Selma fire Monday Jan 16, 2017 at 3:02 PM Jan 16, 2017 at 3:02 PM SELMA — A fire Saturday night in Selma destroyed a house, cabin and shop and displaced a family who lost everything. Illinois Valley and Rural/Metro firefighters responded to the 200 block of Hogue Drive, alongside the Redwood Highway, at 7:06 p.m. and found the structures in flames. It took an hour and 15 minutes to knock down the large fire. No one was home at the time of the fire, according to Illinois Valley Fire District, and there were no injuries during firefighting. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Multiple engines and other emergency vehicles responded.
