Cole previously served as vineyard manager for PCVS, beginning in February 2014. Cole's experience also includes operating Cole Viticulture Services in the Applegate Valley; assistant manager for Quail Run Vineyards' 300 acres; and winery and vineyard intern for Weingut Joachim Hollerith in the Neustadt area, in Germany. For four years, Cole was a viticulturist at Stagecoach Vineyard in the Napa Valley, where he managed 600 acres within 1,300 acres of mountainside properties that included 13 cultivars and eight rootstocks. While there, his projects included native plant restoration and designing a new mountainside vineyard from bare land. He possesses a bachelor of science degree in viticulture and enology from the University of California Davis and earned graduate degrees in Europe. Rogue Credit Union has named Laurie Meyer its market vice president for Grants Pass and Roseburg regions. Meyer will oversee development of branch staffs at east and west Grants Pass branches and future Roseburg locations. She has been managing Rogue's Eagle Point branch and previously worked 12 years at U.S. Bank, rising to branch manager. Pallet Wine Co. named Timothy A. Vevoda business development director. Prior to joining Pallet, Vevoda was operations, marketing and development director at Belle Fiore Winery in Ashland. Vevoda also works as winery liaison for the Asante Foundation. He serves as secretary and board member of the Southern Oregon Winery Association. Southern Oregon University has named Nicolle Aleman its marketing director. Aleman is a 2001 graduate of SOU and was most recently with Bishop Ranch commercial real estate development in San Ramon, Calif. Aleman worked closely with Fortune 500 and 100 companies, building brand awareness. Veteran Grants Pass attorney Duane Schultz has joined the law firm Watkinson Laird Rubenstein. The firm, formed in 1994, has offices in Eugene, Redmond, Roseburg and Grants Pass. Schultz will work in the Grants Pass office with attorney Jim Dole, who joined the firm in 2012. Schultz joined the Oregon State Bar in 1974. He was Josephine County's first full-time legal counsel. He has also been a Circuit Court judge pro-tem for 15 years, court-appointed arbitrator and mediator, and city and county land-use hearings officer. He is a member of the Oregon Bar Region 3 Disciplinary Board. Andrea Carlson has been named Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development Inc.’s business development manager. Carlson earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and broadcast news from the University of Colorado. For the past five years, Carlson was the public information officer for the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. Prior to that she was a television news anchor for ABC-affiliate KDRV in Medford.
