Moore owns a record of 20-7 for the Panthers, who travel to face Jesuit in the second round of the Class 6A state playoffs today. In 172 innings this season, she has an ERA of 1.01 and has struck out 377 batters. She's allowed 58 hits and 82 walks. Moore passed the 1,000 mark for career strikeouts when she had 20 in South's 3-0 victory over Southridge Monday. Mayben guided the Black Tornado to its seventh straight conference crown. North (25-2) hosts West Linn in the second round at 4:30 p.m. today. Pitcher Sarah Thomas, catcher Tra Kucera, infielders Taelor Mayben and Ashley Ripplinger and outfielder Olivia Lethlean all landed first-team recognition for the Tornado.
