Morning Jolt: Baby survives 14 hours upside down in car in river An 18-month-old girl survived 14 hours upside down in a car that had plunged into a river in Utah, police said. The baby wasn’t doing well when rescuers got there, but she is in good condition now, doctors said. Police believe the mom, who died in the crash, somehow crashed into a frigid river, but the baby wasn’t in the water and miraculously survived until a fisherman spotted the car.
