Ashland Wells Fargo robbed

Ashland police are seeking the public's help in finding a man who robbed a bank in Ashland Wednesday morning. A robbery was reported at the Wells Fargo branch on East Main Street at about 11:25 a.m., according to Ashland police Chief Tighe O'Meara, who described the suspect as a white man in his mid-20s wearing a black, flat-rimmed baseball cap with a white logo and a bandage underneath his eye. Police released a surveillance photo of the robber to the media. The robber fled on foot toward the Plaza, and police did not know whether a weapon was involved, O'Meara said. The branch was closed midday while forensic technicians and detectives investigated the scene and interviewed witnesses. O'Meara declined to say how much money was taken.
