I-5 stop leads to pot seizure, arrests Sep 15, 2014 12:00 AM A A Two Washington men were arrested after more than 5 pounds of marijuana was found concealed in their car during an early Sunday traffic stop on Interstate 5 near Gold Hill, authorities said. A 2004 Honda Accord driven by Rory Gene Womach, 30, of Grandview, Wash., was headed north on Interstate 5 when an Oregon State Police trooper stopped it at 12:44 a.m. for a speeding violation near milepost 38, according to OSP. A subsequent investigation led to the discovery of the marijuana, worth an estimated $12,000, according to OSP. Police declined to say where or how the marijuana was concealed or how it was discovered. Womach and passenger Juan Navarro Ramirez, 25, of Yakima, Wash., were both arrested on charges of unlawful possession and delivery of marijuana. They were lodged early Sunday in the Jackson County Jail and later released, records show.
