EASTER It's time for Easter eggs and bunnies Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Mar. 24, 2016 at 9:00 AM Posted Mar. 24, 2016 at 9:00 AM » Social News Easter Celebration at Lozier Lane Baptist Church Kids of all ages can hunt for eggs and get Easter treats from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Lozier Lane Baptist Church, 794 Lozier Lane, Medford. There will be prizes, jump houses, hot dogs and storytelling. Expect to hear the story of Easter. Kids will be restricted to a dozen eggs. Call 541-773-4778. Kiwanis Club of Medford Easter Egg Hunt The Kiwanis Club of Medford and Lithia Motors will host the 75th annual Kiwanis Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at Pear Blossom Park in The Commons on North Bartlett Street between East Fourth and Fifth streets in Medford. The hunt includes areas designated for specific age groups: 0 to 2 or disabled, 3 to 4, 5 to 6 and 7 to 9. Kids can scoop up some of the 10,000 candy treats in a matter of minutes. Families are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes early. The Easter Bunny will be on hand, passing out balloons and posing for photographs. Call 541-776-5031. Phoenix Community Easter Egg Hunt The city of Phoenix and Jackson County Fire District 5 will host an Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at Phoenix Elementary School, 215 N. Rose St. There will be egg hunt groups for toddlers through age 11, along with prizes, fire trucks and face painting. Look for free Easter buckets for kids (while supplies last), gift basket drawings, refreshments and free child fingerprint kits for parents provided by Phoenix Police Department. Call 541-535-6956. Eagle Point Community Easter Egg Hunt The community's 28th annual Easter egg hunt will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 26, on the sports fields behind Crater Lake Charter Academy, 140 E. Main St., Eagle Point. Children can hunt for candy and stuffed animals. Specific areas will be designated for age groups: 2 and younger, 3 to 4, 5 to 7, 8 to 9, 10 to 11, and kids with special needs. The Easter Bunny will be on hand for photographs. Call 541-944-2446. The Rabbits Are Coming A variety of live rabbits — Mini-Rex, Himalayan, Mini Lops, Mini satins even guinea pigs — will be displayed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at Northwest Nature Shop, 154 Oak St., Ashland. Members of 4-H will be on hand to share information about raising and caring for rabbits and guinea pigs. Admission is free. Call 541-482-3241. Easter Egg Hunt at Lithia Park The 58th annual Ashland Rotary Easter egg hunt will begin with the arrival of the Easter Bunny at noon Sunday, March 27, near the tennis courts in Ashland's Lithia Park. The Easter egg hunt begins promptly at 1 p.m. and will be over in just minutes. Families are encouraged to arrive early. The 255 dozen eggs provided by Willamette Egg Farm and dyed by Southern Oregon University's dining staff — along with candy and two "golden" eggs that are good for prizes — will be available for children in five age groups: 2 and younger, 3 to 4, 5 to 6, 7 to 8 and 9 to 10. Bring baskets or bags for eggs and candy. The Easter Bunny will pass out balloons and pose for photographs with the kids.
