Tracey Tamara Norris, 51, was charged Friday with first-degree rendering criminal assistance, The News Tribune reported (http://goo.gl/XrcHSx ). A not-guilty plea was entered on her behalf at arraignment, and a court commissioner ordered her released pending trial. Investigators are trying to find her husband, 50-year-old Yancy Ray, who is charged with second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Hyson Sabb on Sept. 3. They said the shooting stemmed from an argument over a marijuana deal. When detectives couldn't find Ray after the shooting, they questioned Norris, who told them she took her husband to Kent but couldn't remember exactly where, charging papers said. Phone records suggested she had been in Portland two days after the shooting. She admitted as much, and she said she was visiting relatives without him, the documents said. But detectives found an eyeglasses receipt in Ray's name from a Portland store when they searched her house; it was dated two days after the shooting, investigators wrote. They said Ray had left glasses behind at the shooting scene, and surveillance video from the store showed the couple together. The FBI announced Friday that Ray might be staying in the Portland area. Ray is described as black, 6 foot 2 and 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Investigators said he uses the street name Slim, and sometimes goes by Yancy Grayson.
