Chiefs romp past Lakeview, 10-0 Glasscock halts Honkers on 1 hit LAKEVIEW -- Freshman pitcher Katie Glasscock tossed a one-hit shutout and Rogue River parlayed a pair of five-run innings into a 10-0 Skyline Conference softball victory over Lakeview Tuesday. "We just didn't show up today," said Lakeview coach Rick Gage, whose team entered the contest one game behind the second-place Chieftains. "We didn't strike out very much, but we just kept hitting the ball into the infield and they hit the ball through the holes." Glasscock held the Honkers (11-9, 9-6 Skyline) hitless until two out in the fourth inning when Andrea Gillogley stroked a base hit. Rogue River (14-5, 11-4 Skyline) took a 5-0 lead in the third inning, sending nine hitters to the plate. Lacey Mack's bases-loaded triple into the right-center field gap highlighted the outburst. The Chieftains sent nine more batters to the plate in the fifth with K.K. Smith stinging a two-run double past third base. Smith and Alison Bailey had two hits each to pace Rogue River's 10-hit attack.
