A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy arrested Lewis Tuesday on a charge of felony fourth-degree assault. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, then released Tuesday night when he posted cash on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Alberto Castro, 20, of the 1700 block of Meadows Lane, Medford. Castro appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Tuesday on an indictment charging him with possession of amphetamines and driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was booked into jail and released. Animal abuse — Jeremy Lee Carroll, 29, of the first block of Mace Road, Medford. Carroll appeared in Circuit Court Tuesday on an indictment charging him with two counts of first-degree animal abuse and one count of second-degree animal abuse. He was booked into jail and released. Drugs — Gabriel Earl Ray Lambert, 21, of the 2500 block of Brookside Drive, Talent. Lambert appeared in Circuit Court Tuesday on an indictment charging him with possession, manufacture and delivery of marijuana. He was booked into jail and released. Vehicle theft — Steven Christopher Kilcollins, 22, of the 500 block of Nick Young Road, Eagle Point. Kilcollins appeared in Circuit Court Tuesday on an indictment charging him with unauthorized use of a vehicle and resisting arrest. He was booked into jail and released. Advertisement Crime reports Theft — 3300 block of Avenue A, White City. A sheriff’s deputy took a report Tuesday of a theft of a riding lawn mower, which wasn’t described in the deputy’s preliminary report. Theft — 3700 block of Falcon Street, White City. A sheriff’s deputy took a report Tuesday of a theft of a red Murray riding lawn mower. Burglary — 400 block of University Way, Ashland. Ashland police took a report Tuesday of a theft of computer memory from several computers in Taylor Hall on the Southern Oregon University campus. Vandalism — 7400 block of Dead Indian Memorial Road, Ashland. A sheriff’s deputy took a report Tuesday of someone driving into a pump house and fence, causing $5,000 worth of damage. Theft — First block of Northridge Terrace, Phoenix. A sheriff’s deputy took a report Tuesday of the theft of $3,000 worth of items from a vehicle. A preliminary police report didn’t describe the items reported stolen. Burglary — 2800 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police took a report Tuesday of someone who kicked in a door at a business and made off with a grand total of $2 from a change jar.
