'We know where you live,' note says It is put on a man's tow truck as he testifies about shooting by police officer A witness in Thursday's grand jury hearing said he was greeted with a threatening note when he left the Jackson County courthouse and returned to his truck. The witness was one of six people who saw the confrontation between Lt. Jim Anderson, commander of the county's narcotics enforcement team, and three men on April 2, said Medford police Lt. Mike Moran. The grand jury declined to file criminal charges against Anderson for firing a round from his police handgun at 24-year-old Jorge Armando Cisneros of Medford after Cisneros threw a box of Chinese food into Anderson's unmarked police vehicle. The witness found the note clamped under the windshield wipers of his blue tow truck parked in the lot adjacent to the courthouse, Moran said. Written in black ink on a 8.5-by-11-inch sheet of paper with three holes down the left side, the message read, "We know where you live. Will be seeing you." The paper was lined with the word "notes" printed in English, French and Spanish at the top. Medford police said the person who left the note would face felony charges of tampering with a witness, which carries a penalty of five years in prison or a $100,000 fine. The note was seized and processed for fingerprints. Detectives looked for fingerprints on the outside of the tow truck as well, Moran said. "We take tampering with a witness very seriously, especially when they're in the courthouse testifying. That's pretty brazen," Moran said. Threats to witnesses usually are delivered via anonymous telephone calls, Moran added. Detectives said they believe the note was left on the witness' vehicle around 3 p.m. Thursday.
