Commissioners to eye priorities Land-use planning and economic development priorities will be reviewed by Jackson County commissioners at their business meeting today. The meeting will start at 9:30 a.m. in the auditorium of the Courthouse, 10 S. Oakdale Ave., Medford. It will take the place of the regular meeting Wednesday. From Tuesday through Friday, the commissioners are scheduled to attend the annual conference of the Association of Oregon Counties in Seaside. Commissioners were scheduled to approve an order for a steering committee to guide the rewriting of the county's land development ordinance. The committee would work under the planning commission. Once a new ordinance is drafted, the commissioners want to write a new land-use plan. Commissioners also will consider plans to spend state lottery proceeds for regional economic investment and federal grants for regional economic adjustment caused by reduced timber cutting in the Northwest's federal forests.
