Man arrested for hit-and-run outside of Chic-fil-A By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Mar 18, 2022 07:37 PM A A A Gold Hill man is accused of striking a pedestrian riding a scooter with his vehicle and driving away from the site of the collision, which occurred Thursday night at the entrance of the Chic-fil-A restaurant on Rossanley Drive in Medford, according to a Jackson County Circuit Court document. The victim’s injuries include a broken clavicle, concussion, minor brain bleed and several scrapes and cuts. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment after being found on the ground. Daniel Stephen Rodger Keim, 33, of the 8600 block of Highway 234, Gold Hill, was arrested by Medford police for third-degree assault and failure to perform duties of a driver to an injured person, both felonies, as well as for driving under the influence, reckless driving and reckless endangerment, which are misdemeanors. Police say Keim’s vehicle struck the man and Keim fled but was followed by witnesses who confronted him. Keim returned to the location and spoke with police, who took him to a different local hospital for blood and urine samples before transporting him to the jail. Keim was released on bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned on April 18 in Jackson County Circuit Court.
