Emergency services, Feb. 4 Saturday Feb 4, 2017 at 12:05 AM Felony arrests Drugs — Levi Michael Jonathan Wear, 29, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Wear Friday on an additional felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. Medford police originally arrested Wear Thursday on charges of possessing meth and criminal mischief. He remained lodged in jail Friday without bail. Coercion — David Flynn Saunders, 30, of the 900 block of Old Ferry Road, Shady Cove. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Saunders Thursday on a felony charge of harassment, and on misdemeanor charges of interfering with making a police report and harassment. He was booked in the jail Thursday and released Friday on his own recognizance. Assault — David Arlo Jackson, 29, of the 1100 block of Niantic Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Jackson Friday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance. Vehicle Theft — Anthony Dominic Morse, 30, of the 1000 block of Spring Street, Medford. Medford police and Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Morse Friday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing a stolen vehicle, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, attempting to elude police, identity theft, first- and third-degree theft, reckless driving, reckless endangering and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. He remained lodged in jail Friday on $200,000 bail. Sexual Abuse —Shannon Paul Askvig, 23, of Sedro-Wooley, Washington. On Friday, Askvig made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of second-degree sexual abuse. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance. Drugs — Leonel Torres, 25, no known address. On Friday, Torres made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance. Assault — Merl Clifford Guches, 73, of the 2100 block of Newland Road, Central Point. On Friday, Guches made his initial court appearance on felony charges of second- and third-degree assault, misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, fourth-degree assault, reckless driving, reckless endangering and second-degree criminal mischief. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance. Identity Theft — Jamie Colleen Randall, 32, no known address. On Friday, Randall made his initial court appearance on two felony counts of identity theft and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance. Drugs — Kyle Jakob Reese, 19, of the 900 block of Southwest Isham Street, Grants Pass. On Friday, Reese made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing a Schedule II controlled substance. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance. Drugs — Christopher Pernell Alexander, 26, of Bakersfield, California. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force arrested Alexander Friday on felony charges of distributing and possessing methamphetamine and distributing and possessing heroin. He remained lodged in jail Friday on $537,500 bail. Drugs — Daniel Lee Kuykendall, 30, of the 1400 block of Dakota Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Kuykendall Friday on felony warrants charging him with possessing heroin, warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing methamphetamine and heroin, for violating his probation on a previous heroin-possession conviction and on out-of-county warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing heroin and methamphetamine. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail. Sex Offender Registration — Allen Wayne Preister, 30, no known address. Ashland police arrested Prister Friday on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender, and for violating his parole on a third-degree rape conviction. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail. Assault — Christopher Lee Murray, 43, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Murray Friday on a felony warrant charging him with third-degree assault, on misdemeanor warrants for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and fourth-degree assault, and on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous meth-possession charge. He was lodged in jail Friday on $40,000 bail.   Crime report  Theft — First block of North Peach Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft at 5:25 p.m. Friday. Items reported stolen included a black Moto smartphone, a Genesis bicycle with saddle bags and a black wallet containing cash. The loss was valued at $1,215.
