Allen 'Al' Jun 22, 2014 12:00 AM A A Leroy Morton Feb. 3, 1942 - Feb. 3 2014 Allen "Al" Leroy Morton was born in Portland, Ore. to Lorraine and Arnold Morton. His family moved to Medford, Ore. in 1952, where he grew up. He became an auto mechanic who restored and repaired classic cars. Al's first love was drag racing, building and racing dragsters and funny cars. He has traveled the world. Al is survived by his wife, Linda Morton and her family of Okla.; sisters, Barbara (Jerry) McCollum of Medford and Shelly Murphy of Va.; nephews, Matthew (Cyndy) McCollum and Steven (Laura) McCollum; and his great-nieces and great-nephews.
