5 picks for live entertainment this week Savanna Friday Jan 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM Savanna The trio — Liz Jones on acoustic guitar, Anna Christensen on percussion and Bob Rawlings on upright bass — will perform classic country and western, '60s and '70s folk rock, soul, reggae and blues, along with a few of Jones' originals, at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at Belle Fiore Winery, 100 Belle Fiore Lane (off Dead Indian Memorial Road), Ashland. Admission is free. Holly Theatre Tours See the Holly Theatre Restoration Project unfold during free tours of the historic building. Tours are offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the first Saturday of every month at the theater, 226 W. Sixth St., Medford. Tours begin every half hour and last approximately one hour. Opened in 1930, the Holly is the last remaining grand movie palace in Medford and is being restored to its original grandeur to become the largest indoor entertainment venue in the region. Visitors must wear closed-toe shoes; sandals will not be allowed. There is no heating or air conditioning. Oregon Old-Time Fiddlers Rosin up that bow and dance when the Oregon Old-Time Fiddlers hosts its monthly jam session from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at the Fruitdale Grange Hall, 1440 Parkdale Drive, Grants Pass. The jam will feature traditional fiddle tunes, interspersed with vocals. Acoustic musicians may sit in, and dancing is encouraged. Admission is by donation.
