Grants Pass police arrest man for online sexual conversation with teen girl By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Dec 24, 2021 02:02 PM A A Huffman The Grants Pass Police Department has arrested a man on suspicion of offenses related to having sexual conversations online with a teenage girl. Bill Huffman, 60, of Grants Pass, was arrested Thursday for luring a minor and second-degree online sexual corruption of a child. Police also reported that the suspect has violated probation for previous conviction for attempted first-degree sexual abuse. Huffman is being held in the Josephine County Jail for $250,000 bail. The investigation that resulted in this arrest began Dec. 6 and is based on a report that a man was having sexual conversations online with a 14-year-old girl. The conversation was provided to law enforcement, and further investigation revealed that Huffman was the suspect. On Thursday, Grants Pass Police Department detectives contacted Huffman at his place of employment and seized several cell phones. Each device will undergo forensic analysis on approval of a search warrant. Police also reminded parents to carefully monitor the activity of their children on social media and explain to them about the dangers of communicating with people they don’t know.
