Visitors can make fish prints, wade in the creek and learn about macroinvertebrates, solar ovens and restoration activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The outing is being sponsored by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management’s Medford District in partnership with the Seven Basins Watershed Council and the Seven Basins Youth Council. The activity site is on the way to Elderberry Campground, at a dispersed campsite about 3 miles up West Fork Evans Creek from the junction with East Evans Creek Road. From Medford, take Table Rock Road north to Highway 234 and turn right. In about a half-mile, turn left on Meadows Road. In about eight miles, turn left onto East Evans Creek Road. Drive four miles, then turn right on BLM Road 34-3-24 and drive nine miles to the campground entrance. From the town of Rogue River, drive north on East Evans Creek Road for about 18 miles.
