Breeze trailed Justin Wise by five strokes heading into Sunday’s final round, but Wise labored with a 77 to fall one shot back at 217. Eric Austad also finished with a 217, while Adam Browne and Nick Nieto both shot 222. Abby Fowler fired a 79 to claim the women’s title with a 232. Linda Johnson, who was up four strokes heading into the final round, took second with a 233, and Trina Rasmussen finished third at 242. Bob Stassi won the senior men division with a 220 and Bob Harrell took the super seniors championship with a 222. Mueller used an 8-iron on the 170-yard fifth hole. Mueller’s first-ever ace was witnessed by Keith Pearson, Russ McBride and Vern Christian.
