Company owns Oh's, Le Dolls By Lee M., Medford MailTribune.com By Lee M., Medford Posted Nov. 3, 1999 @ 2:00 am Updated Dec 17, 2010 at 1:20 AM By Lee M., Medford Posted Nov. 3, 1999 @ 2:00 am Updated Dec 17, 2010 at 1:20 AM » Social News In a recent story on Le Dolls, the owner of the Medford nightclub was given as Bicmar Corp. A corporation owns Le Dolls? Can you tell us more about Bicmar: the name or names of the owners and how many other such businesses they own? -- Bicmar Corp. isn't the impersonal, out-of-town corporation you may be imagining, Lee. The corporation, owned by Medford residents Brian Edwards and Kevin Wells, owns both Le Dolls and its neighbor, Oh's, a Japanese restaurant. They lease the building. Inkun and Seong Oh run the restaurant under a management agreement with Bicmar, according to Bill O'Connor, the corporation's attorney. Edwards and Wells bought the corporation from Bob and Catherine Bickler in 1993 -- the same year Le Dolls opened -- and didn't change the name. We just never got around to changing it or saw a need to, says Edwards. O'Connor and Edwards believe the name is a combination of the first syllable from Bickler and another name connected to that family, but neither was certain. The Bicklers couldn't be reached.
