SOU holds off WOU in volleyball SALEM � Shelley Gorin had 18 kills and Kristina Matchett added 17 as 19th-ranked Southern Oregon volleyball team held off Western Baptist 10-15, 15-7, 15-8, 15-12. A stingy Raider defense held the Warriors to a .109 attack percentage, collecting 96 digs in the match. Setter Jamie Csoros led Southern Oregon (7-4, 3-1) with 18 digs, while also collecting 63 assists. The Raiders struggled a bit in their own right, delivering a .183 attack percentage against Western Baptist (4-4, 3-2). Michele Dardis and Lindsey Aitchison each added 14 kills for SOU, while Csoros had 18 digs and Laura Lincoln had 15. Sabrina Garboden, Gorin and Kristina Wurtz each chipped in 14 digs for the Raiders. Liz Howe paced the Warriors with 14 kills, while Mandy McFadden topped all defensive players with 24 digs for Western Baptist.
