They are offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest of Race Little Eagle Pearson, 17, Lt. Mike Moran said. Police suspect Pearson stole a car in Medford and a truck in Eagle Point Friday. In Eagle Point, he is also suspected of breaking into a house and stealing a .357 Smith & Wesson revolver. When confronted by an elderly man in the house, the burglar sprayed him with pepper spray and fled. Twice Friday night Medford police surrounded places where they thought Pearson was, but they didn’t find him. The first search started about 5:30 p.m. and included closing Royal Avenue and surrounding several apartment buildings. Later police heard Pearson might be at Rogue Regency Inn on Crater Lake Highway, Moran said. With the help of hotel employees, they evacuated rooms near where they thought Pearson was staying. When officers entered the room they thought Pearson was in at about 10:30 p.m., he was gone, but had left the holster from the stolen gun behind. Advertisement Pearson, who will turn 18 next week, is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair, which may be cut very short. Police consider him armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on Pearson’s whereabouts should call police at 770-4783.
