The city so nice, we run it twice I have a question Ive pondered for a long time about our own Mail Tribune. I kept thinking a proofreader, or someone, would find your ongoing mistake. But no such luck. So after months of this mistake, guess Ill have to ask. In your weather report on the back page, why do you have Spokane twice? The second one isnt even in alphabetical order. Since Ive asked, I hope you can find an answer. Sharon R., Central Point You know, Sharon, with the buildup to that question, we thought you had something really monumental for us something like "Did you know youve been spelling Tribune wrong all these years?" But youre right: For many months now, Spokane has taken more than its share of space in the national listings of the Mail Tribunes weather page. If you miss it the first time after South Bend, you can pick it up again after Syracuse. We dont know why or how this happened, but your letter spurred us to get in touch with Accuweather Inc., the service that puts together our weather listings. Sources there say they should be able to do away with the extra Spokane by the weeks end. Theyll also remedy another mysterious weather-page glitch and frankly, were surprised this one got by you, Sharon moving Redmond from between Baker and Brookings in the regional listings to its more appropriate home between Redding and Reno.
